This Buffalo Bore 454 Casull load uses a 325-grain lead flat-nose bullet and is intended for hunting and other heavy-handling handgun uses where a high-mass projectile is appropriate. The load is rated at 1525 fps and delivers substantial muzzle energy of 1678 ft-lbs. Buffalo Bore states they intentionally do not load this cartridge to its maximum pressure to maintain reliability and to reduce issues with heavy bullets and cylinder crimp.
