The Double Tap Ammunition DT SnakeShot for 10mm Auto combines a 135 gr jacketed hollow point projectile with a cluster of #9 shot in a single cartridge. It delivers a 205 gr total payload intended for short-range self-defense and close-in pest control such as snakes and small varmints. Manufacturer testing indicates approximately 10–12 in. penetration in ballistic gelatin and expansion to about 0.65 in for the 135 gr JHP component.
