The Hornady Security Dehumidifier Rod is designed to slightly increase the temperature inside your safe higher than the ambient temperature in the room. This moves the condensation point to the outside of the safe/enclosure, protecting the contents from excess humidity and preventing rust. It can be used in horizontal or vertical positions; however, the optimal location is horizontal along the back of the safe/enclosure.
