The Remington Express Extra Long Range (XLR) 28 gauge load is intended for upland bird hunting and other small-game wingshooting where tight patterns and moderate payload are preferred. This configuration uses lead #6 shot in a 3/4 ounce payload and is chambered to common 2-3/4 inch 28 gauge barrels. It is positioned for field use on species such as quail and pheasant where long-range pattern density is desirable.
