Winchester Ballistic Silvertip in .270 Winchester is a 130-grain polymer-tipped rifle load intended for hunting medium to big game and for shooters seeking improved long-range ballistic performance. The polymer tip and boat-tail profile are engineered to reduce drag and help maintain a predictable trajectory. Listed muzzle velocity for this load is 3050 fps from the manufacturer’s test barrel and the cartridge uses brass cases with a Lubalox-coated jacket.
