Every assisted reset trigger and Super Safety build has the same requirement: a heavy buffer. H2 is the minimum and H3 is recommended. Getting there has usually meant buying a buffer from one place and a tube from another and hoping they match. This all-in-one buffer and buffer tube system from Odin Works ends that. The buffer weight, tube and spring are engineered together for assisted reset trigger and Super Safety builds: the correct weight, the correct tube, one part. Made by Odin Works in Southern Idaho, 100% USA.
Built for assisted reset triggers and Super Safeties
This is not a standard buffer repackaged. The buffer weight, tube geometry and spring rate are calibrated together as one system for the cycling demands of assisted reset triggers and Super Safeties. Install it and run, with no weight guessing and no compatibility questions.
- All-in-one system: buffer and buffer tube engineered together, not two parts from different sources.
- Correct buffer weight built in: engineered around the H2–H3 range for reliable trigger reset, so you don’t need a separate heavy buffer.
- Works with assisted reset triggers and Super Safeties: including the Partisan Disruptor, LAT, AS Designs ARC-Fire V2 and Hoffman Tactical Super Safety.
- Drop-in install: installs like any standard buffer and tube. No special tools and no modification.
- AR-15 mil-spec platform: fits standard mil-spec lower receivers.
- 100% USA made: Odin Works, Southern Idaho.
Why buffer weight matters
A standard carbine buffer (about 3 oz) lets the bolt carrier return to battery too quickly for an assisted reset trigger or Super Safety to reset reliably. The result is failures to reset, short-stroking and inconsistent cycling that get blamed on the trigger when the buffer is the real problem. H2 (4.6 oz) is the minimum and H3 (5.4 oz) is the recommended sweet spot for carbine-length builds. This system is built around that range, with a tube engineered for the extra cycling load.
Frequently asked questions
Do I still need a separate H2 or H3 buffer?
No. The correct buffer weight for assisted reset trigger and Super Safety cycling is built into the system, so you don’t need a separate H2, H2.5 or H3 buffer.
Will it work with the Partisan Disruptor?
Yes. The Disruptor needs an H2 buffer at minimum, with H3 recommended for carbine-length builds. This system is engineered around that range and drops straight in with the Disruptor.
Does it work with Super Safeties?
Yes. Super Safeties are especially sensitive to buffer weight because the selector cam timing depends on consistent bolt carrier cycling. The controlled buffer weight removes that variable.
Is it compatible with the ARC-Fire V2?
Yes. The AS Designs ARC-Fire V2 is a selector-based assisted reset system that needs H2 or heavier buffer weight for consistent cycling. This system works with all ARC-Fire V2 configurations.
How does it install?
Like any standard buffer and tube: remove the existing buffer and tube from your lower and install this system. No special tools and no modification to the lower receiver.
