FDC Return & Refund Policy
Dear Potential and Current Members,
Thank you for taking the time to read this. At FDC, we do things a bit different, and it catches some people offguard. We promote transparency in our operations and would like to explain clearly and directly our policy on returns and refunds. Our policy can be summed up in a single sentence, and then merrits some explaination.
We don’t do traditional returns or refunds. <- Please re-read that twice more.
The Explaination:
As we have said time and time again, we are providing access at unprecidented prices. We achieve this by not maintaining an extensive overhead and instead using fulfillment vendors who do not allow us to return product just because we don’t like what we ordered or because we changed our mind. As we are allowing the users of FDC to enjoy the perks of buying at these discounted rates, there are challenges to be aware of.
Please note: products that are not damaged cannot be returned or exchanged. If an order has not yet shipped and you request it to be cancelled prior to shipment, we can reach out to determine if it can be cancelled prior to shipment and process it if possible, but the order refund will be less the credit card processing fee that FDC is charged when you place the order.
It is your responsibility to confirm that you are purchasing the correct item prior to hitting the submit order button. With that being said: you do have protection against damaged or missing products. Fulfillment vendors give us a few days to check the product to make sure everything is in factory-new condition.
Damaged Firearms:
If you have a damaged firearm, do not take possession of it through your FFL. Contact us and we will get the vendor to provide a shipping label to send the product back for replacement. If you take possession of the firearm without inspecting it, distribution will not allow it to be returned to them, you would have to send it back to the manufacturer for warranty.
All Other Damaged Items:
Products that do not require an FFL dealer to transfer must be inspected by the recipient and in the event of damaged or missing items, FDC must be notified in writing within 24 hours of delivery. If there is a problem, FDC will work with the fulfillment vendor to find a solution. Since we are not the product retailer, we are at the mercy of the fulfillment vendor, but we only work with the best in the business and more often than not, we are able to find a solution that is fair for all parties involved.
Non-Compliant Order Refunds:
Orders that are placed that are not state compliant will be refunded less the credit card processing fee that we incur at the time of the transaction. Repeatedly submitting orders for items that are in any way restricted in your state will result in a warning, and then 20% restocking fee on all non-compliant future orders.
The simple way to prevent this is simply to understand and follow the rules of your state. This also applies to items that are not firearms but are FFL items in your restrictive state, such as ammo being shipped to NY. These items MUST be submitted for shipment to your FFL’s address, and the FFL must be a verifiable licensee, not a C&R FFL03.
Items that are received by an FFL who cannot transfer them to the end purchaser due to state restrictions on the item (not legal restrictions on the individual customer – see below) may be returned to FDC for a refund less a 20% restocking fee, which covers the return of the item to the vendor it came from.
Refunds on FFL items unable to be transferred due to personal/legal issues:
Orders that are placed that cannot be transferred to the end user due to legal circumstances are not elligible for an exchange or a refund. It is not FDC’s responsiblity to confirm your ability to possess a firearm. This includes age restrictions imposed by your state rendering you ineligable to purchase a firearm even if you are able to possess one. Basically, if you can’t purchase a gun at the local gun store or pass the background check, returns/refunds are not applicable.
The Bottom Line:
This is not Walmart. You are not paying retail for gun parts. You are paying the same price the local gun shop pays for the same parts. This forgoes some of the comfort afforded in a standard retail shopping experience. Returns are not accepted in the traditional sense, and exchanges are only available for identical items if the original was damaged at or before delivery. Please do your research before placing any orders to confirm fit, size, color, caliber, capacity, features, etc.
