The Wrangeler is the first truly drop-in AK-platform assisted reset trigger, and it comes in a cassette form factor. It is The Triggered Company’s patent-pending assisted reset trigger with Next Generation Assisted Reset Technology, from the makers of the Disruptor.

How the Wrangeler works

The Wrangeler uses a Forward Reset Bias that indexes off the back of the bolt carrier through the Reset Initiated Out-of-battery Safety (RIOS) bar. Because of that, optimal function depends on the exact geometry of the receiver and its component parts.

AKs vary quite a bit between manufacturers, models and production runs. Loose tolerances and tolerance stacking can create significant differences even between adjacent serial numbers, something The Triggered Company saw multiple times during research and development. That is why the Wrangeler is built in dedicated versions for different AK platforms rather than one design for all of them.

Confirmed compatible AK-47 (7.62) rifles

The Triggered Company has tested the Wrangeler in many rifles from a wide range of manufacturers and production periods. These are the AK 7.62 platforms they are confident it works well in. The list will keep growing.

*Many PSA / Soviet Arms rifles benefit from a break-in of a few magazines of live fire.

Rifle not on the list? It may not run as a pure drop-in. The Triggered Company plans to release tuning kits (RIOS bars and springs) so owners of other AKs can customize and refine for the best performance.

It is impossible to test every model from every manufacturer, so The Triggered Company welcomes feedback on what works well and what needs tweaking. Once they can replicate and verify a result, they add the rifle to the compatibility list and, where possible, reward the customer with some goodies. What kind of trigger is the Wrangeler?
The Triggered Company calls it an assisted reset trigger. Like the Disruptor, it uses the rifle’s cycling to reset the trigger.

Will it fit my AK?
If your rifle is on the compatibility list above, it is confirmed to work as a drop-in. If it is not, it may need tuning; tuning kits are planned.

Do you carry the AK 5.56, AK 9mm or RPK versions?
Not at this time. We carry the AK 7.62 version.

Can I keep my current selector?
No. The Wrangeler only works with the selector included in the box.

Is it spelled Wrangler?
No. It is the Wrangeler, named after General Pyotr Wrangel.
